Virtual Training (Schedule Now!)

Now that we are primarily in a virtual learning environment, the benefits I've seen from online training are greater retention and application of concepts learned. Virtual training allows for more digestible instruction, since the topics are spread out across multiple sessions, for shorter durations of time vs 6-7 hours at once. This amount of time can often feel exciting, but also overwhelming. The recommendation is to schedule no more than 3 back to back hours for optimal retention. I've seen the best results with 1-2 hours at a time, however, I'm happy to accommodate the needs and requests of the school I'm working with, as my schedule permits.

Value of on-site training: Engagement and Connection (Currently on hold until further notice due to COVID)

Often times, Admissions staff don’t take the time to meet for extended periods of time to evaluate their process together and figure out how Finalsite Enrollment can help facilitate this with ease while managing relationships with students and families.  This makes on-site training more productive because there’s less distractions, which strengthens the learning curve. 

Although web-based training is beneficial and efficient for targeted training topics, complete engagement may suffer due to phone calls and interruptions.  Face-to-face interaction leads to better understanding and re-call of concepts learned, while also allowing schools to evaluate their process as a team and collaborate on ideas.  Attendees leave the training with greater confidence in using Finalsite Enrollment, energized with a new perspective, unified as a team, and excited to apply what they’ve learned!
