Oftentimes, schools want to add a tracking code/custom script to a specific thank you page or template on their Finalsite Enrollment site so that they can track their conversions. Use the Custom HTML feature to generate a merge token that pulls your tracking code/script directly into your thank you pages and certain Portal templates.
⚠️ Important note
This article is for adding code to individual thank you pages and web templates. To add GA4, GTM, and other tracking codes across all Parent Portal pages, visit the “Parent Portal Content” article for information on the GA4, GTM, and Custom Script fields.

Step 3: Add a Custom HTML template
Click Add a new Custom HTML template in the upper left corner.
Step 4: Set up the Custom HTML template
- After naming your template, use the Token Name field to create the merge token you will pull into your Parent Portal Content templates. The merge token must only contain the characters 0-9, a-z, A-Z, or underscores.
- Paste the entire tracking code/custom script into the large text field.
- Click Save.
Once generated, you will see the new Custom HTML template, along with the merge token under the Token to Insert column. To the right of the template, you have the options to Edit, Copy, or Delete it.

⚠️ Important note on forms
The system no longer supports adding tracking codes to forms. If you have inserted a custom script manually on your online forms using hidden form fields, the current scripts will continue to work. However, if you need to edit that script, you will need to remove the hidden field from the form and then add the script anew by using Custom HTML.
