Niche Integration

Finalsite Enrollment has teamed up with Niche to simplify the way families connect with schools. This integration allows schools to capture both Leads and Inquiries directly from their Niche profiles, streamlining the enrollment journey for both parents and admissions teams.

Niche is a popular website that helps people discover and research schools, colleges, neighborhoods, and companies across the United States. It’s especially well-known in the education space for providing detailed profiles, rankings, and reviews of K–12 schools and higher education institutions.

How the Integration Works

Schools with any paid tier of a Niche profile can automatically sync data into Finalsite Enrollment. This integration supports two distinct types of engagement:

Automated Leads

Leads flow into your system in real-time when a parent interacts with the custom call-to-action buttons (e.g., Learn More or Apply Now) on your Niche profile.

• If a parent is logged into Niche, their information is submitted automatically. If they aren't logged in, they complete a short, simple lead form.
• The parent's Name and Email are imported as a Lead. If they include child information, the student's Name and Grade are imported as a Prospect.

Niche-Specific Inquiries

To bridge the gap for families ready to provide more detail, schools can use a unique Niche-specific inquiry link on their profile.

• When a family clicks your custom Inquiry link on Niche and submits the form, all data passes directly into Finalsite Enrollment.
• This creates a full Inquiry record in your Finalsite Enrollment system. The Inquiry Source will automatically be labeled as Niche.

Lead Management

On the Leads page, you will find the following details:

• Lead Status: A lead will be listed as Active if they do not have a student linked to them, and will be Progressed if they are linked to a student.
• Lead Source: Displays Niche if the parent came through the integration.
• Lead Source Date: Shows when the lead was received.
• Filter Options: Filter by Niche Leads Only under the Filter options menu.
  

In addition, you will have access to the Leads Report, found under Search & Report > Admissions Report > Leads. This report shows each Lead Source, the number of Leads, and the number of students generated from the lead form, separated by workflow. Prospect Management

The Prospects page is where you can view and manage your active and inactive student prospects.

• Filter Options: Filter by Niche Prospects Only under the Filter options menu.

Inquiry Management

Inquiries submitted via your unique Niche inquiry link function like any other inquiry in Finalsite Enrollment, allowing for seamless tracking.

• Identifying the Source: Inquiries will have an Inquiry Source of Niche when they reach the Finalsite Enrollment system. This can be viewed in the following locations:
  • Forms Inbox: View the Source column when manually importing 
  • Recently Imported: Once imported, the source remains visible on the Recently Imported page.
  • Search: Create a search by Inquiry Source to find the inquiries that came from Niche.
• Managing Inquiries: View, filter, and manage your inquiries on the Inquiries page under Students in Admissions.

How to Enable the Integration

Getting set up with the Niche Integration is easy!

Step 1: Submit a Request to Finalsite Enrollment

Submit a request to the Finalsite Enrollment Support Team to enable the Lead Management and External API settings on your site.

Step 2: Share Your Finalsite Enrollment Subdomain with Niche.

Your Finalsite Enrollment subdomain is the beginning of your URL before "fsenrollment.com." For example, if your site is finalsiteacademy.fsenrollment.com, the subdomain would be "finalsiteacademy."

• If you are a Niche client, reach out to your Niche account manager or email [e-mail].
• If you are a new client, reach out to [e-mail], and they can help you get set up.

Step 3: Configure Your Niche Inquiry Link (optional)

To capture full Inquiries from your Niche profile:

• Go to Settings > Forms > Inquiry Form.
• Locate the Actions column on the Active version of the form, indicated with a green checkmark.
• Click Select > Copy Niche URL.
• Add this unique link to your Niche school profile.

Step 4: Verify the Integration

Within 48 hours of submitting your activation request to Niche, you will receive a test lead from Niche in your Finalsite Enrollment Leads Report in the following format:

• First Name: Jim
• Last Name: Doe
• Email: [e-mail]

You will also receive an email from Niche confirming that the test lead has been sent and the integration between Finalsite Enrollment and Niche has been completed.

Note: Be sure to delete the "Jim Doe" test lead once it arrives to keep your reporting data clean.
