Magical fields are a special category of hidden data points automatically calculated and managed by the system. Many of these fields will not be listed on your Fields page because they are not manually entered. Instead, they derive their values from other information in the system (e.g., calculating a student's age from their date of birth).
These powerful fields are essential for reporting and analysis, and can easily be displayed in a search. Below is a list of the most common magical fields and what they represent. The table also lists whether the fields can be used as search criteria when building a report and/or can be displayed from Change Display/Columns.
